Happy Lunar New Year - Tết

The lunar calendar is based on the moon’s phases.  The Gregorian or sun solar calendar system actually evolved from the lunar calendar system.  In the Old World including Vietnam, the festivals and holidays are determined by the lunar calendar.  This year is the Year of the Dog, a man’s best friend.  The Lunar New Year day is on Friday, February 16th 2018.  Vietnamese Lunar New Year is called Tết.
